Developing Political Leadership in AlaIgbo
by Ozodi Thomas Osuji, Ph.D. (Seatle, Washington) --- Until the twentieth century, Igbos did not have written literature. Therefore, observers of Igbos do not have a body of literature to examine, and from which to draw conclusions about them. This lack is even more pronounced in the area of leadership. There simply is no known body of writing on Igbo political leadership that an observer can take a hard look at, and from which he makes statements on Igbo political leadership.
