Igbo Underbelly Exposed in Los Angeles: Ken Nnamani Lambastes WIC and Igbo Diaspora for Reducing Nd'Igbo to a Basement People
by Ambrose Ehirim (BNW News, Los Angeles, CA) --- More than 400 Igbo men, women and children from all walks of life packed into the basement of Los Angeles Airport Hilton Hotel Saturday night to participate in the annual convention of the Igbo Diaspora organization, WIC (“World Igbo Congress”). This year's convention, one of the rowdiest and most unproductive ever, will be remembered as the forum where WIC exposed Igbo underbelly to the world and created a vivid metaphor of Nd'Igbo as a basement people.
